David Noble Leaving School In 1960, David Worked At A Local Colliery For 12 Years As An Electrician, All The Time Painting And Sketching His Experiences In The Dangerous Working Environment Of The Coal Mine. In 1972, He Won A Scholarship To Ruskin College, Oxford And After Completing His Studies At Oxford And Hull Universities In 1978, He Took Up Teaching At Rotherham College.

His Love Of Steam Engines And Railways In General Were Directly Inspired By His Childhood Experiences At Mexborough Loco Shed, Where His Father Worked As A Driver Right Up Until The Shed’S Closure In 1965. Now Retired, He Devotes More Time To Painting And Drawing, Whilst Keeping Busy Fulfilling Many Commissions.
